The Greater Plymouth Food Resource Group was formed in 2002 by the South Shore Community Action Council. It is a network of several local food assistance programs and is a member of the Greater Boston Food Bank, so it benefits from that groups ability to provide food at low cost. It operates the Great Plymouth Food Warehouse in the Plymouth Industrial Park, at 14 Apollo 11 Road, in the back. Thats off Aldrin Drive. It is open Wednesdays, from 9 a. m. to noon, to receive food donations. It also operates a quarterly food drive, setting up on four Saturdays a year to take in food donations from the public. We are very proud to sponsor that food drive.

I am shocked at the move of Emeril. Many women (and men) are used to the time before 8:00 being for supper, yard work, time with the kids, ball games, baths, homework, etc. Then at 8:00 the modern household settles down for TV time. I believe that moving Emeril is going to have a dramatic effect on his ratings and no. of viewers. I know of a lot of women I work with and that are in my family are not going to be able to catch him at 7:00 because of supper, dishes and children obligation. Moving him from a prime slot makes it look like the Food Network is trying to phase him out. If you will look at major networks, once they move a successful show it is just a matter of time until is completely off the air.

He said he had served in Afghanistan and that he had graduated from cooking school, neither of which is true. When given the opportunity during a press interview, JAG did not set the record straight. Food Network asked JAG to come to New York to discuss the situation.

I always had a passion for cooking, but I never realized that I could make any money doing it I was in corporate America. I had lost a big deal. I came home, and I was kind of flipping through the cable channels, and all of a sudden I saw this thing called the Food Network, and literally as I turned on the Food Network, I saw this guy go Bam. in front of a live audience Hes laughing, having a good time and Im like, Well, I can do that. I enrolled basically pretty much the next day in culinary school, and in August I was out of corporate America, back to culinary school. From culinary school, I really started working with the pastry chefs and transferred to Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island for a degree in pastry arts.
