Apparently, to turn off the timer, you dont push the off button. That turns the whole oven off, as I discovered about 15 minutes after I put the second batch of cookies in. They were slightly melted, but mostly still just tall piles of raw dough. I turned the oven back on, and finished baking them. They were significantly flatter and browner than the first batch, but still tasty. Its hard to go too far wrong when youve got enough butter, sugar and chocolate.
